The safety device

The safety device is the essential component and the safety heart of each piece of mast-climbing equipment. It will stop the equipment safely when the nominal speed in the down direction is exceeded. The safety device engages its pinion with the rack attached to the guide mast. Each device is set according to the parameters of the model of lifting equipment it is to be part of, and thoroughly tested before leaving the factory. After three years, each safety device must be returned to the manufacturer for inspection and refurbishment. Only the manufacturer is authorized to perform these regular inspections and refurbishment.
The STROS safety device is certified by the internationally recognized German authority TÜV Deutschland München.
